- San Francisco can become a world capital. First it needs to get over itself
Last night was awesome for so many reasons, just one of which being this.
I love you, San Francisco.
I don’t care if it’s been posted a million times. Stunning.

TRUE. According to the 2010 U.S. Census and the Animal Care and Control, there are at least 120,000 dogs and just 108,000 children in San Francisco.

Here’s the email [GigaOm] received from a Hollywood casting director:
Are you a young, successful, professional living in America’s most emerging area — Silicon Valley?
Whether you’re in law, business, technology, film, advertising, medical, culinary… any career goes, as long as you’re living life in the fast lane, we want to hear from you!
How about a hotshot lawyer, who works hard from 9-5 but parties even harder after dark? Maybe you just got your break working at one of the biggest internet companies burning through the late-night hours and partying in the even later ones? Or maybe you’re a middle school teacher in a small suburb, but you have a secret wild side?
Looking for people in their late 20′s – to early 40′s… living in Silicon Valley… and who have a full time job and a full time lifestyle.
Ugh.

Banned by the Bay is San Francisco’s celebration of Banned Books Week. We will be marking the week in true SF style with a full-on FESTIVAL.
Through partnerships with local authors, theatrical troupes, artists, organizations, bookstores, and libraries, Banned by the Bay hopes to have some fun while raising awareness about the roles intellectual freedom and open access play in upholding an educated and free society.
Please join in for the main festivities, which include Banned Book Exposé, Let’s Talk Freadom at The Booksmith, One Night Bookstand, and The Gread SF Read-Out. See you there!
I’m helping on this. San Francisco friends — ATTEND! Please help me spread the word :)
